Awesome cluster of stacked, bipyramidal calcite crystals with quartz, topped by a glittering rainbow of iridescent chalcopyrite. An ultraviolet light exposes contrasting fluorescent hues- the calcite glows bright pink while some fluorite on the underside glows bluish purple. The specimen is from El Hammam Mine, Mount Hammam, Meknes, Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco. It measures approximately 60 x 42 x 26mm and weighs 55.6 grams. The rainbow colors of the chalcopyrite are best seen in the video, as they are not easily captured in photos.
