Seymchan Meteorite piece

This is a piece from one of the famous Seymchan Meteorites that fell to Earth in 1967 in Russia. Some of the pieces contained olivine (classified as a Pallasite meteorite) whereas the others were mostly Iron. This piece is an Iron Meteorite (Iron IIE) and has been cut and etched so the Widmanstatten lines (Thomson structures) can be seen. The piece measures 1.75 inches long, 0.75 inches wide and 0.1 inches thick.
