SparkFun Environmental Combo Breakout - ENS160/BME280 (Qwiic)
Description SparkFun Environmental Combo Breakout - ENS160/BME280 (Qwiic) Offers a variety of environmental data Features Air Quality Index, eCO2, and TVOC readings Provides data on humidity, temperature, and barometric pressure Ideal for smart home technology, HVAC systems, and health monitoring The SparkFun Environmental Combo Breakout - ENS160/BME280 (Qwiic) is a distinctive breakout that offers a variety of environmental data. This includes Air Quality Index (AQI), Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOCs), equivalent CO2 (eCO2) levels, barometric pressure, humidity, and temperature. The communication is conducted solely via I2C, using the Qwiic system. The ENS160 serves as the successor to the widely used CCS811 sensor, offering readings for equivalent CO2 (eCO2) in parts per million (PPM) and total volatile organic compounds in parts per billion (PPB). An additional feature of the ENS160 is its ability to refine its readings if it can access the current humidity and temperature. The BME280, on the other hand, provides data on humidity, temperature, and barometric pressure. This allows the sensors to collaborate and deliver more precise readings. The Environmental Combo Breakout is perfect for applications such as building automation, smart home technology, HVAC systems, indoor/outdoor navigation, weather prediction, and even personal health and wellness monitoring. The I2C address of the Environmental Combo Breakout is 0x53 / 0x77, which can be selected via a jumper to 0x52 / 0x76. To communicate with multiple Environmental Combo Breakout sensors on a single bus, a multiplexer/Mux is necessary.
