Butterflies and Moths - Songbird Sock Set

Welcome to 2024’s Robin’s Promise Yarn Co. Subscription! This year’s theme is “Moths & Butterflies.” One of my earliest memories of one of my grandmothers was her lapel pins. She had these beautiful butterfly pins in all colors. It’s the first memory that I have of looking deeply at something and looking at all its color. She had this one beautiful blue pin with tiny rainbow colored dots. When I began dyeing, I started collecting butterfly and moth images. I’ve been saving those images for four years now. My photo collection now is over 170 strong - all of these beautiful and color varied creatures.  This is the year of the butterfly - creatures that are thought to represent change, transformation, comfort, hope and positivity - not necessarily in that order. Their stages of development represent life change as well - from the cocoon of reflection to the progression of a colorful creature taking flight on the wind.  I will release yarn colors once a month that will not be released
