Butterflies and Moths - Eiderdown DK

Welcome to 2024’s Robin’s Promise Yarn Co. Subscription! This year’s theme is “Butterflies and Moths." One of my earliest memories of one of my grandmothers was her lapel pins. She had these beautiful butterfly pins in all colors. It’s the first memory that I have of looking deeply at something and looking at all its color. She had this one beautiful blue pin with tiny rainbow colored dots. When I began dyeing, I started collecting butterfly and moth images. I’ve been saving those images for four years now. My photo collection now is over 170 strong - all of these beautiful and color varied creatures.  This is the year of the butterfly - creatures that are thought to represent change, transformation, comfort, hope and positivity - not necessarily in that order. Their stages of development represent life change as well - from the cocoon of reflection to the progression of a colorful creature taking flight on the wind.  I will release yarn colors once a month that will not be released
