Calliope Top Class with Sari Nordlund (Sunday Aug 3rd, 9a-11a)

Join us for this special in-store event where Sari Nordlund introduces you to the Calliope top.  This class dives deeper into lace knitting with a bit more complicated charts as well as knitting lace on the wrong side of the work. You will also learn all the techniques you need to complete your own Calliope top including the i-cord cast on and bind off methods as well as the provisional cast on method. The Calliope top knitting pattern is included in the class. Required knowledge: basic knit and purl stitches, k2tog, ssk, p2tog and ssp, reading charts  Materials needed: Yarn for swatching. The yarns should be preferably fingering weight with good stitch definition in light, unicolor colorway so you can easily see your stitches. If you want, you can use the yarn you are planning to knit your Calliope top (original yarn in the pattern is Ritual Dyes Undine) so you have your swatch ready and done during the class. 3 mm / US 2.5 needles. I suggest using 40 cm / 16 inch cables, but you
