Ready-to-work model! HO Brass model scratch built by Joe G. Collias into Missouri Pacific 2-10-2 No. 1717. The chassis and mechanism appear to be from a Balboa Southern Pacific 2-10-2 but have been modified. The boiler may be of similar origin but has also been heavily modified and detailed. Katsumi running gear is smooth and the mechanism is very quiet for a model with an open frame motor. The tender may be scratch built but may also have origins in other MP models. Tender features "dog house" details not seen on other factory built models. A one of a kind model in mint condition with amazing detail, showing very little evidence of use.
