HO Brass model scratch built by Joe G. Collias into Missouri Pacific 2-10-2 No. 1701. The chassis and mechanism appear to be from a Balboa Southern Pacific 2-10-2 but have been modified. The boiler may be of similar origin but has also been heavily modified and detailed. Katsumi running gear is smooth. The tender may be scratch built but may also have origins in other MP models. Tender is an oil burner. Relabeled Balboa box shows minimal shelf wear. Box has note written in lid from Joe G. Collias. No spare parts included. Truly a 1 of 1 model!
