X-Frame Dining Table
So what do you do with the century-old floor beams you pull from buildings located all over the borough of Brooklyn? You could do what most contractors do and throw them away, I suppose, or you could do what we've been doing since the day we started -- reclaim them, mill them down and give them a second life. In this case those reclaimed old floor beams have become table tops, we're more than happy to put material that was destined for the landfill back into circulation. Tops are white pine that can be finished in any number of shades, the X-frame bases are recycled iron welded right here in our shop. We finish each top with poly and hand-rubbed beeswax, the steel gets a clear-coat to protect against future rusting, there are levelers on each foot for those of us with imperfect floors. We're a built-to-order fabrication shop so message us if you want this piece to be modified -- bigger, smaller, different wood.... whatever you need, we can make it happen. All items are handmade at
