This petite Wedgwood tobacco jar is a fine example of classic jasperware, crafted in England. The rich blue body is adorned with detailed white reliefs, depicting a mythological scene inspired by ancient Greece and Rome. Its matte finish, introduced by Josiah Wedgwood in 1774, beautifully offsets the crisp white decoration. The jar is capped with a coordinating lid. Excellent antique condition. 3" W x 4 1/8" H
