Amazing Antique Silver Basket

Victorians loved the embellishment of everything but were most known for their fabulous baskets, this one is an amazing example of one of the most beautiful specimens!  This very large and heavy silver plated basket with a moveable handle features repousee leaves on the bowl section as well as the bottom.  The embellishment continues on the scalloped edges where very large ivy leaves and vines wind their way around the perimeter.  The handle is also highly decorated and the whole basket is elevated on a pedestal.  Really fabulous and unique!  12.25” w x 12”t
