Perky box is approx 1.25” for scale.* This unusual specimen is a miniature double terminated topaz crystal, flanked by tiny accents of black tourmaline (schorl) and cleavelandite. The topaz crystal is double terminated, and has a white to slight peach hue. It is surrounded by sharp, striated tourmaline crystals. This tiny crystalline specimen is mounted in a perky box with locality info, ready for display. It would also make a wonderful and unusual collectors or jewelry supply specimen, and it is just as comfortable being held during meditation and ceremonies. Topaz is known for its durability--very high on Moh's scale at 8--and for its beautiful prismatic gemmy appearance. Tourmaline is a group of many closely related varieties; the iron rich black member of the group is known as schorl. Cleavelandite is a fine, platey variety of albite, a feldspar variety that forms in association with quartz, tourmaline, topaz, and other pegmatite minerals.
