This is a crystal cluster of rich black tourmaline, a variety known as Schorl. The crystal features striated structure and good luster, despite being heavily etched and included by golden iron oxides--schorl is prone to brittleness and breakage, so the structural lines and surface textures of this crystal make it especially desirable. The cluster is composed of many smaller faces on one large freeform specimen. Damaged sections are left unpolished, and are seen in chips and abrasions. This inky black and golden yellow toned crystal cluster would be ideal for display, gridding, or collection! Perfect for the healing or specimen collector in your life.
