It features beautiful open layers of crystalline amethyst, and an overall curved, organic shape with a unique rehealed shape. The color is a light lavender grey to pale lilac purple. The crystals have also grown on a unique matrix, with an aesthetic radial layout. They are accented by beautiful pale yellow scalenohedral calcite crystals, called stellar beam calcite in the healing community. These calcite crystals fluoresce bright pink under UV! This cluster would be an excellent small to medium display specimen, and is also suitable for meditation. Beautiful and classic! Locality: Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Dimensions: 4.00” x 3.75” x 2.00” (101mm x 95mm x 51mm) Weight: contact me Note: Amethyst should not be displayed in strong sunlight for a prolonged period of time, as it can cause color bleaching. Amethyst forms in a multitude of habits, from the classic Brazilian cluster to single crystals from Vera Cruz, Mexico. These clusters are amethyst flower clusters from the famous Parana basalt formation in Rio Grande do Sul. This area is one of the most legendary sources for amethyst and agate in the world. Calcite is the most abundant carbonate mineral, and forms in the widest variety of habits and colors of any mineral. Healing Properties: Amethyst is one of the earliest used stones for healing purposes--it has long been believed to protect and purify, connecting us to spiritual guides and releasing negative habits. It is associated with the crown chakra, and the wind or storm element. Calcite is associated with clarity, vision, and inspiration. *Though many gems and minerals have historical and cultural associations with healing properties, these items are sold for display, study, and collector interest only.
