Danburite with Calcite Pale Pink Crystallized Unpolished Medium Crystal Cluster Charcas Rocks and Minerals Mineral Specimen Mexico
This is a pale pink crystal cluster of the mineral danburite, covered in graphic layers of tan-cream calcite crystals. It is a natural cluster featuring prominent icy pink danburite terminated raw crystals, wrapped in a cloak of mini dogtooth calcite crystals. It features an icy pale pink-clear shade, and the danburite is gemmy and partially complete. The calcite has a soft tan to yellow tone. (As an unpolished crystal, it has abrasions and growths--in my opinion, these natural features do not lessen its beauty but give it an organic and raw presence.) This medium sized crystal cluster would make a perfect mineral specimen and meditation aid--it would also be great in crystal gridding. Locality: Charcas, Mexico Dimensions: contact me Weight: 171 g (6.06 oz) Danburite is a mineral that is similar visually to topaz--it forms in the orthorhombic system, has a hardness of 7-7.5 on Moh's scale, and forms extremely clear, prismatic crystals. It may be colorless, yellow, or pale pink. It is named for Danbury, Connecticut, the locality in which it was discovered. Healing Properties: Danburite is associated with the heart chakra--it is believed to relieve anxiety and promote self-love. Danburite is also believed to aid in emotional healing, and encourage serenity and peace in one's environment. *Though many gems and minerals have historical and cultural associations with healing properties, these items are sold for display, study, and collector interest only.
