4.5x6.5x4" These beautiful geodes are truly a marvel. Inside the seemingly innocuous geode, an entire world of sparkling delights awaits. The enchanting pink and red drusies gleam within, and the formations are absolutely stunning. If you couldn’t tell, we’re pretty enamored with them. For the past 30 years, the mines near Tarazout in Morocco have produced these mysterious, beautiful, and rare quartz perimorph geodes. Initially, they were referred to as pseudomorphs, or quartz after other minerals, but they are actually perimorphs. Perimorphs differ from pseudomorphs because they do not replace the earlier minerals but instead form a crust on top of them. They are typically found within hard basalt and contain very unique forms, which have sometimes earned them the name "stalactitic quartz geodes.
