Kyoto, Japan Business card case, silver lamé denim, camouflage, silver
Kinsai craft is a technique established in the Momoyama and Edo periods for applying gold leaf to cloth such as obi belts and kimonos. We have chosen silver lame denim as the material for this business card case, and have gilded it with our original camouflage pattern using silver mud. The lining is black rayon. The specifications include one gusset and one divider. The size is approximately 7 cm (length) X 11 cm (width) X 13.3 cm (length) X 8 mm (thickness) X 3.2 cm (gusset maximum) when opened. The fabric is silver lame, so it sparkles when viewed from different angles. The silver is made of silver mud, so the luster is suppressed and it has a matte finish. *The image is a sample. The position of the pattern cut during sewing may differ slightly. This is a reference video of the surifoil processing ⇒ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xywm81Zz9cc&t=15s
