Kyoto business card case, octopus arabesque, silver, made of cotton ox, dark pink ground

Kinsai craft is a technique established in the Momoyama and Edo periods for applying gold leaf to cloth such as obi belts and kimonos. This business card case is made of cotton oxide dark pink material with octopus arabesque patterns gilded with silver mud. The lining is light beige rayon. It has one gusset and one divider. The size is approximately 7 cm (length) X 11 cm (width) X 13.3 cm (length) X 8 mm (thickness) X 3.2 cm (gusset maximum).
