Silicone 1555 is an optically clear, odorless, inert, non-toxic, and non-flammable silicone liquid. Technically, it's not a "silicone oil", it is a "modified silicone oil". At one time we had many of these modified silicone oils. We chose to call them silicone "fluids" to distinguish them from pure silicone "oil" and PDMS. They are related to Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS, silicone oil) which they are based on. This one was created for use in personal care products.
