This is an interesting, odd wax. Its surface cools to a unique texture when melted. You can see it clearly in the picture. The side of the box describes what it does without details. Says to consult the instructions which are no longer in the box. Some of this was cut off the original 1 lb block. About 0.4 lb (180 grams) of the block remain. It is as hard as the hardest of carving waxes and it has been target marketed to jewelry wax carvers. It can be carved when cool, so that part of it will have the unique texture, while surrounding areas are carved to form bezels or whatever framework is desired....(see more)
