United States Lines - One of the very first brochures from the newly formed United States Lines, a sixteen-page "New York to Europe" promotion from January 1922.Most of the brochure highlights the GEORGE WASHINGTON, called the flagship. The LEVIATHAN wouldn't take her maiden voyage for another eighteen months. Patriotic hype assails the reader, ironic since both the GEORGE WASHINGTON and fleetmate AMERICA were confiscated German liners. "American ships officered and manned by American seaman are sailing the seven seas!
