Vivianite Crystals on Matrix

The vivianite crystals on this matrix form in prismatic, bladed shapes, displaying a range of colors from electric blue to vivid emerald green. Their blade structures possess an appealing aesthetic quality, with certain crystals protruding from the matrix at opposing angles. The translucent nature of the vivianite enhances the mineral's overall beauty. Small ludlamite crystals can be found on one edge where the vivianite meets the matrix. The limonite matrix of this specimen has been lightly stabilized to prevent crumbling.  An exceptional piece for any mineral or crystal collection. It comes from Silo Veinte Mine, Potosí, Bolivia.
