Crushed Black Shungite Chips from Russia, Pea-Sized Gravel (2mm-4mm)
Shungite is a black, carbon-rich rock composed of nearly 98% carbon, giving it a sooty texture when crushed. Technically, shungite is a mineraloid, similar to amber, opal, or obsidian (volcanic glass), as it lacks a distinct crystalline structure. The majority of shungite deposits are located in the Karelia region of Russia. Our coarse material is considered to be pea- sized gravel, ranging between 4 millimeters to 2 millimeters. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart.
