Crushed Black Shungite Powder from Russia, Fine Crush (<0.25mm)
Shungite is a black, carbon-rich rock composed of nearly 98% carbon, giving it a sooty texture when crushed. Technically, shungite is a mineraloid, similar to amber, opal, or obsidian (volcanic glass), as it lacks a distinct crystalline structure. The majority of shungite deposits are located in the Karelia region of Russia. Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart.
