Peridot, also known as olivine, is an abundant green mineral that makes up most of the Earth's interior (mantle). This particular peridot is from India and has a bright, apple green color. Peridot is the official birthstone for August and is a classic choice for your jewelry projects. Our medium material is considered to be sand sized (very coarse sand to fine sand), ranging between 2 millimeters to 0.25 millimeters.
