Crushed Creamy White Mother of Pearl Flakes, Medium Sand (0.25mm-2mm)
Natural, crushed mother of pearl is a fantastic inlay material for woodworkers, ringmakers, jewelers, and luthiers. Mother of pearl is from the inner layer (nacre) of many bivalves, such as oysters and large clams. It is a relatively soft material with a Moh's hardness of 3.5, which can be easily sanded. Pearl is also one of the official birthstones for June. Our medium material is considered to be sand sized (very coarse sand to fine sand), ranging between 2 millimeters to 0.25 millimeters.
