80CrV2 High carbon blade steel This steel is hot rolled and annealed and ready to be ground or forged. Manufactured in Germany to a constant recipe to ensure a consistent high quality steel. 80CrV2 is a tough 1080 series steel with Chromium and Vanadium and requires a simple heat treat similar to 5160. Lengths are +/- 1/8" Thickness note: the thickness of this blade steel may be slightly oversized by .01-.015 inches.
