Chess Tournament Preparation Classes for Intermediate and Advanced Students
We'll be running tournament preparation classes leading up to a number of state championships. The focus in these classes is to prepare students to play in slower in-person tournaments. We'll be covering practical positional and tactical ideas, and working on calculation. The focus is mostly on positions where students need to consider and evaluate a few different options, and spend more than a minute or two thinking.Classes are appropriate for students K-8 who are rated under 1400 USCF, including players who've never played in a tournament before. Students will be grouped by skill. If you're rated over 1400 USCF, you should try out one of our GM classes here.
