-Bezel set jewelry is an ancient technique dating from the Classical period, many fine examples of this type of setting can be found in the Metropolitan Museum Greek + Roman galleries. -All materials and tools provided. -Learn how to make bezels with fine silver. -Learn how to bezel set 2 cabochon gemstones. -Pls specify finished projects for your 2 cabochons set pieces, choose to make rings or pendants. -For rings sterling silver ring shank provided. -For pendants chains will be provided. -Beginner metal smithing skills will be introduced: learn cutting / filing / sanding / texturizing and basic usage of hand tools. -Learn to solder with acetylene or micro-torch which can be safely used at home. -After this workshop students can join our INDEPENT PROJECT STUDIO TIME independent session with guidance on a project of your choice or we will guide you through the making process of a design of your own. Knowledge of basic skills such as soldering, filing and using a torch are required.
