A contemporary etching on paper titled “Condottiero Colleoni” by John Mills. Hand signed in pencil on the bottom right with an annotation of 1/25 on the bottom left. Published circa 1970s. The subject depicts the equestrian statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni by Verrocchio in Venice. Colleoni was an Italian condottiero and gained reputation as the foremost tactician and disciplinarian of the 15th century. He is also credited with having refurbished the Roman baths at Trescore Balneario. A homage to the classic masters yet with a contemporary style. Provenance: Alice Simsar Gallery, Ann Arbor.
