Violette de Bourdeaux Fig Tree

Violette de Bourdeaux is a berry-flavored fig that is considered by many to be one of the best-tasting figs in existence. The complex berry notes in these small to medium sized figs resemble a sweet piece of fruity candy. The figs have a dark purple exterior and a beautiful red interior. Violette de Bourdeaux originated in France and was later re-discovered in California in the late 80s. Plants tend to have a bushy growth habit, but can get as tall as 10'. Trees  from this variety will produce several crops of figs throughout the warm growing season.
