LSU Hollier Fig Tree

Pronounced "ol-ee-ay," LSU Hollier is a another great fig variety developed by Louisiana State University. This variety is a unique honey-berry fig with fruity notes that make it one of the best-tasting LSU figs. We place it in the honey fig category, although it probably be grouped with the berry figs as well. If you're a big fan of the LSU fig varieties like we are, you won't regret adding this one to your collection! LSU Hollier figs are medium to large and have a yellow exterior like most honey figs do. However, unlike most honey figs that have a yellow inside, the LSU Hollier figs have a light red interior. As the figs ripen, they will sometimes develop brown spots called "sugar spots." But don't worry as these are purely cosmetic. They don't affect the quality or flavor of the fruit at all.
