No Tresspassing Trail Run

Acrylic on canvas, 30 x 40 x 1.5"    This painting was inspired by a local "trail" I run all the time. Created in innumerable layers of acrylic paint, it is vivid and wild, stormy even. I think about all the dark places a runner sometimes goes in their mind, while surrounded by all this beauty. It's a place and activity where we can sort through what burdens us, discard it like sweat off our brows and move into peace. It's the art of running meditation, and running therapy.
