She was born to Saint Gabinus of Rome in the third century and refused to marry Maximian, Diocletian's son-in law. Furthermore, she converted two of Diocletian's court officers who wanted to convince her to marry, to Christianity. This triggered Diocletian's anger and he ordered that she be beheaded in 304.
