She was married to Count Vincente Madelgarius and had four children, St. Landricus, S. Medelberta, S. Adeltrud, and S. Dentelin. After her children were all grown up, Waltraud got separated from her husband and founded a benedictine abbey in Mons, of which she became the first abbess. She was buried in the Gothic ab
