SCA Barista Foundations

2025 Dates: Saturday, July 12, 9 AM-4 PM Monday, August 18, 9 AM-4 PM Monday, October 13, 9 AM-4 PM Monday, December 15, 9 AM-4 PM // The SCA Barista Foundations course helps you gain the practical skills you need behind the espresso bar. You'll learn: How to set your grinder and dial in an espresso recipe Milk techniques Latte Art Health & Safety Customer Service Basic Menu Considerations Foundations Level (One-Day Course). The foundations level is perfect for beginners and requires no prior experience. This class provides a first taste of what it takes to be a barista and is a great way to get insight into the skills required to run a coffee bar. We will break for lunch between 12-1 PM. Please bring your own lunch or plan to purchase from our onsite cafe, NoBo Riverside. Testing: All testing will take place at the end of class. Testing is recommended for those who already have 3-6 months experience as a barista.
