Golden Currant: A vigorous, fast growing deciduous shrub 6' tall and wide with masses of fragrant, bright yellow tubular flowers in early spring. Attracts, hummingbirds, bees and pollinators. Golden berries are edible and attract birds. Tolerates a variety of conditions from creeksides to dry woodland. Amenable to pruning. Full sun to part shade. Low to high water. Good in containers. Seacoast, wind, clay, sand, bog, heat, and drought tolerant once established. Deer, gopher, and rabbit resistant.
