Walter Scott, Sojeau Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Variety: Pinot Noir Started by husband and wife team Erica Landon and Ken Pahlow in just 2008, ‘Walter Scott’ takes its name from two people held near and dear to Erica and Ken. Releasing their first vintage ‘La Combe Verte Pinot Noir’ in 2009 with very little funds, Ken and Erica were able to produce this wine by trading harvest labor for cellar space at Oregon icon Patricia Green Cellars. For the following two vintages, Walter Scott changed its production location to Evening Land where Ken began working alongside Dominique Lafon. In 2011, with the new production of Chardonnay, the duo was able to scrape together enough money to lease their own cellar space, which they still make wine out of today. Dedicated to organic farming, and low intervention techniques that best exemplify the terroir, their wines continue to impress.
