Nevada Variscite Cabochon, Teardrop Shape, Rare Stone

This cabochon is a Nevada variscite. This really pretty stone is similar to turquoise but has a different look. This is a domed teardrop. I tend not to polish the back of my stone cabochons so consider these only for closed back settings. I like to use gallery bezels for these teardrops. It makes setting them easy. This stone measures: .83 x .55 in inches or 21.5 x 14 in mm Stone cabochons can have natural imperfections. I work to limit or eliminate them in the stones I cut but you should keep in mind that natural stones are seldom perfect.
