Being offered for sale is the antique DOVETAILED & HAND-CARVED HARDWOOD (walnut?) TOOL BOX and/or BLANKET CHEST (child/doll/small size) and/or DECORATIVE TRUNK by unknown maker (no visible maker's marks aside from the "STANLEY WORKS" at hinges and the previous owner's name "D. HILER" incised at each brass handle...possibly/likely AAFA/homemade folk art box), from circa the mid -to- late 19th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. Very Good antique condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear but remains structurally rigid & strong, with awesomely large dovetail joints. The beefy "STANLEY WORKS" hinges are solid. Same goes for the (2) Chippendale style brass handles. It is clear that this box once had a removable tray and latching/loc
