Winemaking in Armenia dates back over 6,000 years, with the discovery of the Areni-1 cave winery—considered the world’s oldest known winery—offering incredible insight into the region’s ancient wine traditions. This gorgeous pét-nat is as thoughtful as it is easy to love. Made from the Muscateni grape grown in the high-elevation Aragatsotn region, it shimmers with a pearly, almost opalescent hue and offers delicate floral aromas like acacia and white rose petals. On the palate, it’s juicy and fresh, with just the right pop of acidity. Crafted without added sulfites using the traditional “méthode ancestrale,” it’s bottled mid-fermentation for a gentle, natural sparkle. “Hay” is the Armenian word for both the Armenian people and their homeland—a fitting name for a wine that beautifully reflects its place of origin.
