Hasui 巴水: Kasuga,Kumamoto 熊本春の町 (SOLD)

Artist: Kawase Hasui 巴水 (1883-1957) Title: Kasuga,Kumamoto 熊本春の町 Date: 1937, August 昭和十二年八月 Kasuga, Kumamoto (Kumamoto Kasuga-chô). Twilight falls on a peaceful village, a lone yellow window beckoning, joined with its shimmering reflection. Image is very similar to a 1922 scene that Hasui designed; this one is larger and has more presence.
