No. 406 - The Live Edge Console Table

This striking and versatile table works well in your entry, hallway, as a sofa table, anywhere you need a console table, or even as a small desk. It will be individually handcrafted to order for you from a hand-selected oak slab and welded, cold-rolled steel. We begin with a raw piece of live edge oak, and painstakingly level the top, filling cracks with epoxy, and installing a hand-cut walnut key. The top is flooded repeatedly with oil to the point of saturation, creating a silky smooth finish that's impervious to liquid. The elegant, staggered base is welded from cold-rolled steel, then hand finished using a blowtorch and boiled linseed oil, resulting in a beautiful, polymerized bronze-like finish, which is then sealed. Measures approximately 60"W x 12"D x 36"H, but we're happy to adjust to your specifications.
