Meiji Period Japanese Mixed Metal Vase Yamamoto Koken

This is a fine example of Shakudo art. A large boat with land and trees in the background is the central scene, with a smaller boat and mountains in the background. The vase is signed Yamamoto Koken on the base. The artist also inscribed the vase on the back. The vase is approximately 5 inches tall and 2.5 inches across the shoulders. The vase is in good condition with wear consistent with age. There is a small dent to the shoulder and the base rim is bent. There are also a few surface scratches that cannot be captured well in a picture because they are hard to see.
