1930s Machine Age Deco Normandy Bronze Guardsman Jr. Lamp - Bert Dickerson
Here's your chance to own a highly regarded classic American machine age lamp from one of the best lighting manufacturers of the era. The Guardsman Jr. was designed c.1936 by Bert Dickerson for the Faries Manufacturing Company. This lamp has been lovingly restored and retains its original finish called Normandy Bronze, which is a beautiful purplish copper color that has aged beautifully. The lamp's finish has been carefully cleaned and polished. There are a couple of cracks to part of the housing, which unfortunately is very common on this model. These aren't very noticeable unless up close and in no way affect the functionality or use of this beauty. All of our lighting has been fully disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, and rewired. The socket shell(s) and all external metal components have been professionally machine polished to a beautiful shine. The electrical wiring has been replaced with a new black rayon cord and a black vintage style polarized plug for safe and modern usage. The
