Excellent red-orange to burgundy fall color and exquisite multi-colored mottled bark make this truly an all-season specimen. It is low branching, almost shrub-like, and though considered a small tree, its height and spread can vary greatly depending upon conditions, up to 20 or even 40 feet tall. Native to Japan.
