Commanding/Cowering, 1960s Peter Passuntino Pastel and Charcoal and Drawing of Three Figures

I find this quite a strong and affecting drawing, one of a handful I've purchased by artist Peter Passuntino (b. Chicago, 1936), dating the 1960s. I find his drawings quite potent; ambiguous but highly charged, seeming to portray psychological states as well as interpersonal dynamics, including exertions of power and expressions of vulnerability--and feeling pretty archetypal as they do.  Unsigned and undated, but I know from others in the group c. late 1960s. ink on paper. Bio below - and lots of his work out there online, widely varied stylistically and I think pretty interesting in a range of ways.  11" x 14" ink and ink wash on paper. At the age of 18, Passuntino was selected to be in a group show at the Carnegie Institute, and at 19 he was selected for a one-man show at the Artist Guild in Chicago.
