Siddhartha by Dave Alsobrooks

Artist StatementSiddhartha has always been my favorite book since my formative years as a teenager. But, in many ways, I never exactly knew why. I appreciated that he pursued different avenues to achieve enlightenment. Not molded on the book itself, my life unfolded similarly, exploring very different avenues. What really changed my perception of this book is my having a regular yoga practice. This ongoing experience has fine-tuned my interpretation of this classic and given it a newfound and profound presence for me. In the design of the cover I was able to focus more upon what triggered enlightenment than the resulting state. — Dave Alsobrooks
