A fine English mahogany tilt top tripod table with gallery top with molded edges, the plain stem of the support terminating in a twist turned vase over a beaded collar having three shaped cabriole legs. With a label from Frank Partridge and Sons. Two legs with repairs, formerly with casters. Circa 1755. Ht. 29", Width 25" The timber of top of this table is typical of the great mahogany used in England in the 1750-70 era. It is dense with a tight grain and deep color.
