A rare mahogany lobed top tripod table in the manner of Frederick Hintz with ten lobes, the raised central section inlaid with engraved brass and mother of pearl, on a tripod base. English, circa 1755. Ht. 28", Dia. 26.5" The top and the base are both of the same period and possibly associated. However, as a second table has been found with the identical base, see the photograph herewith, it is quite likely that this was one of the bases made for Hintz and Channon tray tops.
